Whale Watching

Driven twice to the brink of extinction, the Pacific Gray Whale has made a remarkable recovery, earning the right to be known as one of the most
resilient species on the planet. You will have the opportunity to understand how the migration is part of the species survival strategy and
how this predictable journey nearly led to their extinction. During your 3-4 hour expedition, our naturalists will engage students in a program
that covers their remarkable 12,000 mile voyage from Alaska to Baja and back.

Every year the Pacific Gray Whale can be observed and admired aboard one of our comfortable vessels, as these majestic creatures travel along the Pacific Coast during its annual migration January through early April. During your excursion, Captain Frank and his crew will guide you on an
unforgettable voyage of discovery through the pristine waters of the Santa Barbara Channel and the surrounding Channel Island National Park and Marine Sanctuary.

You and your students are likely to encounter Gray Whales, Humpback Whales, Orcas, Dolphins, Seals, Sea Lions, Sharks and a wide variety of other aquatic life.

The crew encourages interaction with the students to give them the opportunity to experience wildlife as it was intended. These excursions
will leave a profound impression on your students as they witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles.

Don’t wait! Reserve your field trip early for prime dates.
